Monday Meandering

Hard trekking
Hot this morning.  Little breeze.  High humidity.  Nonetheless, Becca and I did a long trek on the west side of Tortugas Mountain.  We started at the Sunset Parking area, which was pretty crowded.  Now that the barricade is in at Geothermal Road--blocking all entrants--it seems as if most early-morning hikers/joggers/bikers are parking at the Sunset Parking area just off Dripping Springs Road.  I thought the opening of the new high school would really clog the road, but it hasn't so far.

Necessary resting

Becca doesn't care about traffic. She just wants to hike.

Is school in session there already? Man, these administrators just can't wait until after Labor Day. And, if it's not in session yet, maybe it's too early to conclude that the school won't clog the road.
