South and East of Tortugas

Northeast side of Tortugas Mountain
Dr. K, Becca and I did an extra long hike this morning, departing from the Monte Vista side of Tortugas Mountain.  It was rather chilly out there, but we were dressed appropriately--especially Becca.  We encountered one mountain biker and, on the way back, two hikers' dog, the latter of whom ran about a quarter mile to greet Becca.  Then they growled at each other.  The light was spectacular for photography, and I captured some good images.

I like the clouds kissing the peaks in the Organs, Packrat. We had a low sky and afternoon drizzle here in the norther Piedmont, but I led the twelfth and final "one Trail Twelve Times" hike anyway. There was a lot of fog and mist in the air that may have made for some moody images. I haven't downloaded the camera yet. Stay tuned...

Thanks, Scott. I'll stayed tuned. Can't wait to see those foggy images.
