Turning Ugly

Dark clouds hang over the desert
The weather, that is.  Yesterday I was overdressed; today was the exact opposite.  Since weather forecasters predicted a high in the low 70s for us today, and the temperature was 50 F when we set off I wore only a light windbreaker.  Mistake.  The cloud cover and a stiff wind made it feel pretty cold out there.  Meteorologists say we have a 20% chance of rain, but it looks like the possibility is higher.  Becca and I had a good, long hike nonetheless.

Clouds over Bishop Cap

Stingleaf flowers hanging on

Clouds dip down to the Organ Mountain peaks

Becca is happy to hike no matter how inclement the weather

Surprised these beauties are still in bloom
