Beating the Rain

Giant divining rod?
Becca and I were able to get in a moderately-long hike west of the Tortoise without getting wet; we weren't even sprinkled on.  I wasn't so lucky when I went grocery shopping in the late morning.  When I came out of Target it was raining quite hard, and it had only lessened a bit by the time I emerged from Albertsons.  Ah, well, you can't have everything.  On a positive note, though, Albertsons had Dale's Pale Ale on sale:  two dollars off the regular cost for a six-pack.  Hurrah!

It's the small things in life that make us happy.

Impressive flower images, Packrat. We've finally got some crocuses and snowdrops blooming here (way behind schedule), but we're supposed to get snow showers on Friday--the first day of spring. You might know. This winter seemingly will never end.

I'm a dark beer guy myself--porters and stouts are my preferred brews.

I don't mind a good porter or stout, Scott, but I'm not a huge fan of really dark beer.

Will you folks back there ever get rid of the snow?
