Big Winds

East of Tortugas Mountain
The winds in High Rolls were horrendous during the overnight hours, and they carried over into the morning.  It rained during the night, and a few snow pellets were falling when I took Becca out after first light.  Dr. K and I decided the hiking was going to be an ordeal in the Sacramentos, so we packed up and headed for the lower desert where we did a short hike on the east side of Tortugas Mountain.  Back home now, and the winds are still bad, but bearable.
