Over the Hump

It was noticeably cooler this morning, and a persistent breeze kept the hiking conditions bearable.  Becca and I did a fairly long trek and only encountered a few other outdoor enthusiasts.  We saw the woman runner and her dogs (pictured below) at a distance, and they all turned around and headed the opposite way after spying us.  Just as well; you never know for sure how a meeting with other dogs will go.  The woman didn't have the dogs on leads, and she didn't appear to have any leashes with her.

That's a pretty thick forest of ocotillos--very pretty.
