Stocking Up

You can still see the city from here
Becca and I got a little earlier start on our morning trek west of Tortugas Mountain.  We did a normal hike even though I had to return home and leave almost immediately to go shopping at Target and Albertsons.  Although chill at first during our outing, the abundant sunshine soon warmed things up, and at the midway point I had to remove my PrimaLoft Packaway jacket and pack it away, sufficiently warm in a long-sleeve shirt under my Marmot PreCip for the return trip.  Becca had a well time on our sojourn, enjoying the sights, sounds and smells--well, mostly the smells.

Prickly Pear, Strawberry Hedgehog and Ocotillo

These boulders must be remnants of past road creation

Being a simple sort I'm often intrigued by the light/shadow show here

See?
