Willow and Frio
|
We did our usual hike this morning and conditions weren't too bad: 70F with a slight, but persistent breeze. The humidity was high, though, due to last night's brief storm.
We spotted some people way out on the long dirt road (LDR) just as we started off, but we never saw them again during our trek.
Willow and Frio were fairly well behaved during our exploration, but I do wish Willow wasn't so exuberant during the first outbound leg; she pulls consistently, forcing me to hold her back. After our brief respite in Second Arroyo she generally settles down and is easy to handle on the inbound leg of the trek.
On the way home we made a small detour to our local small post office to mail a few bills and two requests for mail-in voter ballots.

I love that close-up photo of the Desert Zinnias. We've been seeing a lot of those bouquets this summer.
