Another 800 Years?

Soaptree Yucca on the east side of LDR-A
28F at the start of our hike, and it felt that cold until our bodies heated up under the desert sun.  Fortunately there wasn't even a breeze to contend with, so conditions weren't bad for long.

We saw nobody else during our trek up to First Arroyo, where we popped inside for a short break and a drink of water.  We didn't spot anybody on the way back up to the flatland where the CR-V waited.

One thing we did notice:  one of the worst temperature inversions we've ever seen in the Mesilla Valley.  The bad air made me wonder if the pinchy feeling I've had in my nose both yesterday and today was caused by the pollution.
