We did a significant amount of bushwhacking during today's trek, more than we originally planned on doing. The reason for the extra exploration had to do with our desire to avoid the man and woman descending LDR as we were getting ready to ascend to the upper flatland. They had two loose dogs we didn't want to meet. The Heelers wanted to meet them, especially Willow who's determined to rip one of my arms out of its socket.
It was a beautiful morning in our corner of the northern Chihuahuan Desert today, and we all enjoyed being out there.
