Cold Breeze

Willow and Frio
20F when we started out on our hike this morning, which felt pretty frigid; it was made worse by an intermittent cold breeze.  Thankfully the breeze had dissipated by the time we started back from First Arroyo.

One upsetting feature of today's trek was discovering the remnants of somebody's overnight stay down near Tellbrook Arroyo:  a burnt radial tire, discarded cans of food, and pieces of burnt debris scattered across the road.

By the time we started up the steep incline on LDR to reach the upper flatland things had warmed noticeably, but the thermostat in the CR-V still registered only 29F.  We're headed for a high of 60F.
