Dead section of a Soaptree Yucca |
We trekked up to Second Arroyo, headed eastward to a good spot to rest and take a water break. Then we bushwhacked across to First Arroyo and headed back from there.
We didn't see anybody else in the desert while we got our morning exercise in, and no vehicles were parked in the lot at the corner of Tellbrook and Sonoma Ranch when we reached our CR-V.

I like the photo of the dead section of a Soaptree Yucca. It's not surprising that the native Americans that used to live in this area made baskets out of the dried leaves.
