A Whole Lotta Bushwhacking

Double Barrel
When we parked the CR-V this morning I noticed a dark-colored SUV with a small open metal trailer parked on LDR a short way beyond the Tellbrook Arroyo.  When we got down to the arroyo, and the SUV still hadn't moved, I decided to avoid it by heading east up the gravelly wash.  After a short distance we began bushwhacking through the desert, ending up in an area we'd explored maybe a year ago.

It wasn't until we started striking back that we saw the SUV leaving, headed up LDR past the spot where the CR-V was parked.  Just to find out what the occupant(s) of the vehicle had been up to, Willow, Frio and I hiked up to where the SUV had been parked, but we didn't see any signs of nefarious activity.

At that point we turned around and ascended LDR back into the upper flatland.

I love all of those different photos of Frio and Willow. They're in their element.
