Fire Weather Watch

Mesquite tree leafing out
Willow, Frio and I were able to beat the wind on our morning hike, but we're under a Fire Weather Warning for the rest of today and through tomorrow; that means high winds and low humidity can create possible fire hazards.

We trekked up to Second Arroyo, popped inside for a water break, and then crossed the ridge over to First Arroyo; we followed that arroyo west to the intersection with LDR where we turned south and headed back to the upper flatland.

We saw a few jackrabbits on our explorations, but no humans or dogs.

I like that first photo of the Mesquite tree leafing out. I love seeing all of the Mesquites begin to show their leaves.
