Forty-Nine Fahrenheit

View from LDR-A
Owing to the cold front that blew in yesterday it was quite chilly when the three of us started out this morning:  49F.

When Willow, Frio and I hit the trail it felt significantly warmer due to the blazing sun and absence of wind.  The wind is supposed to pick up later today and get much worse through tomorrow.

We followed a route we explored a few days ago:  east in the Tellbrook Arroyo to a wide arroyo, north in the wide arroyo to a long disused road, on the road east and then north until we intersected the southernmost dirt road, which we followed back to LDR.  We hiked LDR into the upper flatland and our waiting CR-V.  Saw no one along the way.

This & next 3:  hiking alongside the Tellbrook Arroyo

Wide arroyo we explored this morning

3-foot bank in the wide arroyo

Heelers on break

Tortugas and the Organs from the wide arroyo

This & next:  small Barrel Cactus

Strangest little clouds I've ever seen

Last 2:  I think they're Golden Crownbeard
