Completely Different Day

East on upper flatland road
I dressed the same this morning as I did yesterday morning thinking it was as cold, but it wasn't; in fact, it was weirdly warm.  I knew immediately I was overdressed.  Willow and Becca were wearing the same coats, too, though they didn't complain about being too warm.

We did the exact same hike as the previous day(s) and the Heelers didn't mind.  They were anxious to sniff the spots previously sniffed.  They had several motivating moments, though, as we encountered two jackrabbits who took off running.  Fortunately I saw the hares, too, and was able to keep the dogs in check.  Funnily I saw two jackrabbits that Frio and Willow didn't see.

The critter of note during today's trek, though, was the Ladder-backed Woodpecker who paused long enough for me to snap a few photos.

Incredible photos of the Ladder-backed Woodpecker. And cute photos of Willow and Frio, especially the second one.
