Cool Sunday Morning

Very ripe Barrel Cactus fruit
Willow, Frio and I did the exact same hike as yesterday, this time on a slightly chilly morning; the chill came from the wind which blew in the 6-8 mph range.

We saw a few birds today, including one I tried to photograph, but who took off right before I depressed the shutter button.  We spotted no land-based critters, and I was thankful for the absence of jackrabbits to arouse the Heelers.

It was very quiet out there while we explored, very few vehicles transiting Tellbrook Road on Sunday morning.

I really like the photo of the bird's nest in the Soaptree Yucca, with the small feather in the center.
