First 3:  deadwood sticks
Today we did the exact same hike as yesterday; apparently I've been uncreative of late in choosing new routes to follow.  Willow and Frio don't seem to mind, both perfectly content to sniff over old ground.

Didn't see many critters out in the cold desert this morning.  I wore the right coat for weather conditions, but failed to bring gloves along; I regretted that failure because my hands were cold for most of the trek.

Our high temperature is supposed to be 61F this afternoon, but it seems as if colder weather is on the horizon.  A powerful cold front is predicted to blow through our area beginning on Saturday.

This & next 2:  can you see the bird nest in the yucca?

This & next 2:  more deadwood

Willow and Frio

This & next:  local color

Sphinx-like Soaptree yucca
