An Alternate Trek

Sky early this morning
It was cooler when we started off this morning:  71F, lots of cloud cover and a slight breeze.  As soon as we got to the trailhead we realized we couldn't do our normal route; two people with loose dogs were directly ahead of us.

So we hiked west along the upper flatland road, turned south on LDR and crossed Tellbrook, continued along the southern stretch of LDR until reaching the eastern section of the loop road which led us back to Tellbrook near the intersection with Sonoma Ranch Road.

We crossed back over to the upper flatland road and hiked north to the CR-V.  It was nice to do a different trek today; and I got some interesting photos in the process.

It was so nice to see the desert begin to get greener. I really like the close-up of the "fishhooks" on the Fishhook Barrel Cactus.

Down the Mountain
