Trading Low for High

Dr. K, Willow, Frio and I did a normal hike in the lower desert this morning before heading home to finish packing for an Independence Day trip to our place in the Sacramento Mountains--independence from fireworks back in LC.

Our temporary problem up here:  Fabian seems to have a batch of new Heelers, three, it seems, besides Coop.  Twice now I've gone out and met with them.  Cowboy, the Aussie, is still with them and seems to exert a calming influence.  We're a bit concerned about Frio and Willow getting to "know" the other Heelers.
