All red flowers are Claret Cup Hedgehog Cactus |
Since the Basset people and their hounds were in the vicinity we bushwhacked out of the LDR-A arroyo eastward, crossing both the right and left branch arroyos before climbing the hill east of the left branch and bushwhacking over to the ridge west of the Organs.
We followed the ridge northward descending the hill next to the lone Soaptree and looping back to the left branch before completing the rest of our usual hike.

Beautiful photos of the Claret Cup flowers. My favorites are the images with the bee.
