Solo with Wils

Mourning Dove
It was just Willow and me on our regular route because Dr. K felt under the weather this morning.

As soon as we started down LDR-A we saw the Basset people and their hounds northwest of us crossing the Tellbrook Arroyo; they then bushwhacked through the desert as they often do.

Shortly after that the black side-by-side drove down LDR, headed up the northern slope and stopped at the side of the dirt road.  The guy who drives it has a dog or dogs and he lets it/them run in the desert.  They usually wear highly visible orange vests.

When Wils and I reached the ancient mesquite tree in the right branch arroyo we (make that "I") decided to do our trek all over again.  We bushwhacked from the right branch across to LDR-A arroyo and repeated the hike.  Not sure if Willow appreciated the doubled distance.
