Looking west from the foothills trail

From the parking lot near the beginning of the steep road to the top of Tortugas Mountain we hiked along the foothills trail, down into the lower desert and along the crosscut trail to the outer loop road.  From there we climbed back into the foothills and followed the trail back to the parking area.
