Shopping Day Trek

Things are getting greener, but we need more rain
The dewpoint was 65 degrees Fahrenheit this morning when Becca and I hit the trail west of Tortugas, and, brother, did it feel it.  Even with a pretty strong wind it was nothing less than a sweat-fest out there for me.  It was a pant-fest for Becca.  Shortened the trek somewhat because I had to run one of my weekly errands:  grocery shopping at both Target and Albertsons--two stores just a stone's throw apart.  I used to shop at the latter grocery only, but it's too expensive nowadays.

That cowboy looks as if he comes from 100 years ago.

Packrat: Do equestrians in baseball caps count as "cowboys"? :)

Like your toppled ocotillo, we have a silver maple tree here on our property that was topped by Superstorm Sandy two years ago. We cut off the top, but the stump, still partially rooted, has put out lush growth. It looks like a gigantic chia pet.
