Becca and I did a quick hike in the lower desert before returning home to shower and pack for a trip to High Rolls/Mountain Park. (You understand, I'm certain, that it was me showering and packing, not Becca.) Becca was bad when we went through the Border Patrol checkpoint outside of Alamogordo, barking at the beautiful Border Patrol canine one of the agents had on lead. Up here in the Sacramento Mountains afternoon clouds are building over the mountains, and we're keeping out fingers crossed for rain. According to our rain gauge we've had 1.92" since last we were here.
