Raucous Crowd on the Mountain

Soaptree Yucca in the arroyo beside our house
Several things conspired to make this morning's hike somewhat unpleasant:  it was already as hot as hell when Becca and I got out into the desert; there was very little breeze; and a raucous group of young people were yelling at each other at the top of their lungs.  I wish more people were aware of how easily sound carries in the desert, especially near the mountains, which echo and magnify every little noise.  But if nobody tells them how will they learn?  I don't feel comfortable approaching young people nowadays to instruct them about anything.
