Healthy Dewpoint

Make up your mind
Becca and I were on the trail by 6:45 this morning, but we weren't able to avoid the heat due to an elevated dewpoint (54 degrees Fahrenheit), which is quite healthy for the beginning of summer.  A high dewpoint indicates moisture-laden air; with temperatures in the mid-to-upper 90s and brilliant sunshine conditions might be ripe for afternoon thunderstorms.  If we see clouds building on the horizon in the late afternoon we could get some precipitation by early evening.  Let's hope so; in the northern Chihuahuan Desert we can always use the rain.

Nice arial shot of Becca lying in the shade of a yucca.
