Hot and a Tad Humid

Here we go into the foothills again
An extra-early start this morning didn't spare us from the heat because there were zero clouds to provide much-needed shade and no wind to encourage evaporative cooling.  With that in mind Becca and I did only a moderately-long hike west of Tortugas Mountain.  We had quite a few encounters with mountain bikers and joggers who were out enjoying the heat; and we were surprised to find the Sunset Area parking lot almost completely full when we got back to the trailhead after a hot trek.  Apparently some outdoor enthusiasts not only like the heat, but revel in it.
