Cold Front Numero Due

It was quite cold this morning when Becca and I set off for the far side of the mountain.  A heavy overcast kept the sun at bay for the entire way, and I never removed a stitch of clothing--though I brought light gloves along I never wore.  The 42F weather called for a long-sleeve shirt, Columbia vest, ExOfficio hiking pants and a Marmot PreCip jacket.  Becca dressed in her normal coat as always.  There were a few other outdoor enthusiasts in the vicinity--runners and bikers--but we had no direct encounters with any of them.  Just as well; Becca and I are perfectly happy keeping each other company.

I like the "little house on the desert"--it really does look as if it's completely surrounded by the desert and mountains. Actually, it marks the beginning of a new subdivision.
