Election Day

Just west of Tortugas Mountain
I got Becca back out to the Sunset side of Tortugas Mountain this morning, and she was as happy as a lark.  She sniffed practically every other bush alongside the trail.  For the most part I kept her on flat surfaces, but we were forced to trek along a rocky, uneven stretch for a while because of oncoming canine traffic.  Nevertheless, the Beckster seemed to do quite well.  I wish, somehow, I had been able to break her of the habit of "spinning," that is, rapidly pirouetting in a circle whenever she's excited about anything.  This morning before I was able to position the ramp to let her climb into the CR-V she spun a couple of times.  Even though I say, "No!" it's one behavior I haven't been able to stop over the years.  Needless to say it makes me worry about extra strain on her legs.
