Down the Bridal Veil

Haynes Canyon under cloud cover
Dr. K, Becca and I headed out under heavy cloud cover for a morning trek on the Bridal Veil Falls Trail.  For much of the way it seemed rain was imminent.  Winds on high were moving clouds around, however, and before we reached the turnaround point the skies began to clear.  The light was dynamic, and I took advantage of it, snapping nearly 100 photos--some better than others.  The happiest hiker, Becca, thoroughly enjoyed our outing and stopped to smell way too many bushes along the way.  We got in some good exercise while enjoying spectacular scenery.  And the best part of our early morning trek?--we didn't see one other human being out there today.
Looked like rain for much of the morning

Can't tell if it's a road or trail in the middle distance

Guess who's enjoying the hike the most

We won't make it to the gorge today

Lovely photos, Packrat. I especially like the one you captioned 'Art?" It was a great hike this morning.
