Approaching the Norm

Shady break in a "wash"
Dr. K, Willow, Frio and I did a near normal hike this morning, heading down LDR-A and partially up LDR before jogging east into a shady wash.  We paused there briefly for a water break, then retraced our steps.

On the way back up LDR-A we saw a man and woman with a white dog trekking down LDR.  We came within waving distance of them, but they didn't notice our waves.  We had no direct interaction with these outdoor enthusiasts, which was just as well because we don't have Willow completely under control yet.

Needless to say, but it was plenty hot out there today; we're destined for a high of 102F.  As usual the drive home in our air-condition CR-V was a pleasant respite from the extreme weather conditions.
