At start
Pleasant early morning hike southwest of Tortugas Mountain today:  up to First Arroyo, inside for a brief respite--including several quaffs of water for canines and humans alike--and then back to the waiting CR-V.

We passed Mr. and Mrs. Big Hat on LDR during our inbound leg.  They greeted us warmly, and we returned the salutation.  They were the only people we saw in our section of the northern Chihuahuan Desert during our outing.
