Blistering

Frio and Willow
It almost felt too hot to be out there this morning:  blistering sun, no clouds, nary a breeze.  I wasn't sure how far we wanted to go, but the three of us trekked up to Second Arroyo and took a short water break before heading back.

We saw no other lunatics in our section of northern Chihuahuan Desert while we were there.  Guess most people have the good sense to stay out of the elements on a day like this.

We drove down Tellbrook to check up on the construction progress and then headed over to the gas station to fuel up the CR-V.  While I pumped gas both Willow and Frio stood sniffing the aroma of food cooking at PicQuik's SantaFe Grill.  The look in their eyes said, "Smells delicious.  Get us some."
