Getting an early start today |
With the exception of descending the entire length of LDR-A we did pretty much the same hike as yesterday: along the east/west cross trail to the new arroyo, up the left branch and then back down to the intersection with the right branch, up the right branch and then out by climbing the steep hill back to the upper flatland road.
We had a close encounter of the fourth kind with the man and woman who hike with their Basset Hounds; the hikers put their dogs on leads and all four of the canines were incredibly well behaved, unlike my two unruly Heelers who went ballistic upon seeing the other dogs. Frio I was able to control easily, but Willow seemed almost vicious as she snarled and barked at the Bassets. I had to pull her in front of the CR-V to get the other dogs out of her line of sight. Her behavior is really disconcerting at times.

I really like the photos Tortugas and the Organ Mountains.
We both wish Willow would behave better when she sees other doggies.
