Northern Flicker in one of our mesquite trees |
We were able to avoid the sheer force of the wind on our morning trek today, but it was blowing at 14 mph while we were out there. Because it felt like 42F I wore gloves for most of the hike, but not my ear band.
Willow and Frio seemed stimulated by the wind, more feisty than usual as we descended the LDR-A arroyo and continued on to explore the left, middle and right branches of the new arroyo.
We three amigos enjoyed our outing today, and we got in a lot of good exercise.

Nice photos from a windy morning. My favorite is the image of the Northern Flicker in one of our Mesquite trees.
