Embarrassing Encounter

Organ Mountains
When we drove around the first bend on the way to our normal parking spot we encountered a gray van blocking the alternative dirt road.  When the occupants of said van heard the CR-V both popped up from whatever endeavor was occupying them, started the vehicle and passed close by us on their way back to Tellbrook.

The real embarrassing encounter happened while I was trailing behind the Heelers on our way down Left Branch Arroyo, daydreaming about something or other, when they darted forward after flushing a cottontail from the underbrush a few feet away.  The rabbit fled so quickly that Frio and Willow could only stand and stare in disbelief.

It was a beautiful morning for our daily trek.  We're headed for a high of 80F today.
