Yesterday's Rain

First 2:  long views of Tortugas and the Organs
Sun, very high humidity, only a slight breeze, clouds of swarming bugs--all ingredients for an unpleasant morning hike.  Despite the conditions Dr. K, Willow, Frio and I did our usual trek.

Several vehicles parked near the Tellbrook/Sonoma Ranch corner lot indicated that other people were in the nearby desert, but we never saw anyone.

I did a little yard work when we got home, removing a patch of Climbing Milkweed growing around the corner of the garage and trying to get inside.  All Climbing Milkweed needs is a bit of rain and it's out of control.

I like the photo of the Prickly Pear bud (or as you say, the green ice cream cone).
