Thunderbumper at Three

Ocotillos in an arroyo between Middle and Right Arroyos
Around 3 a.m. this morning a loud clap of thunder woke me; I was surprised because storms weren't in the forecast.  A few minutes later lighting Xrayed the bedroom, followed by more thunder and pouring rain.

The result of the overnight precipitation was sky-high humidity, and Dr. K, Willow, Frio and I felt every bit of it during our daily trek, which we cut a bit short because of broiling weather conditions.

After our trek we went for a ride in the air-conditioned comfort of the CR-V, reveling in the cold breeze emanating from the vents.

All other Barrel Cacti will be uncaptioned
