After Big Rains

Frio and Willow heading down LDR-A arroyo
Willow, Frio and I did our weekly hike sans Dr. K who went shopping.  The results of last night's powerful storm were evident everywhere on our usual hike; heavy rainwater through the arroyos scoured the desert floor cutting into banks and mowing down grasses and weeds.  In places wet earth gave way to muddy soil.

At times during our outing it seemed like rain was imminent, but we did the entire trek without even getting spat upon.  Besides Willow's constant pulling through two-thirds of the adventure the only thing that marred our pilgrimage was both Frio and Willow lunging at a fleeing Roadrunner just as we crested the hill to the west of Right Branch Arroyo.
