Alpha and Beta Hikes Redux

First 3:  in the forest behind our cabin
Dr. K and I did the same two hikes we did yesterday with two differences:  first, we took Willow and Frio on a longer and much steeper trek into the forested mountain behind our cabin; and, second, we did the "beta" part of the two hikes on the Bridal Veil Falls Trail, descending only to the "grotto" before turning around.

The weather was perfect, so much so, in fact, that I wore a short-sleeve shirt and shorts for the second trek.
