Bitter Cold at Start

No ifs, ands, or . . .
25F when we headed out this morning with a cold, cold wind.  Fortunately, after crossing from Left Branch Arroyo to the middle branch, the wind abated somewhat; and by the time we ascended the right branch the wind had died significantly.

We took a long drive after our trek, passing through neighborhoods we hadn't visited in a long time.  Many homes are decked out in Christmas decorations.

Ho, ho, ho.
