Cold, but Warmer

1st 2:  flank of Tortugas and the Organs
30F when we headed out this morning, and although there was a breeze it didn't make conditions worse out in the desert; and we were able to benefit from the shelter provided in the left and right branch arroyos.

Dogs had a good time on the hike, but Willow was a bit out of control at times locking onto various animal scents during our outing.  She never took off on her own, but sometimes we wonder about her intentions.  Most of the time, though, she listens really well, as does Frio--to hand signals, that is.

This & next 2:  Organ Mountains

This & next:  the "O"s

This & next 2:  Soaptree Yuccas in the left branch

San Augustine Peak

"O"s in the right branch arroyo

Last 2:  prickly pear and hedgehogs in the right branch arroyo
