Kestrel Friday

1st 2:  American Kestrel
Weather was great for our morning hike; we were lucky to beat the big winds, though, as a major cold front is blowing in over the next few days.  Forecast calls for lows in the low-to-mid 20s.

Best thing about today's outing was the American Kestrel that remained perched on top of a Soaptree Yucca stalk through nearly our entire trek.  I was able to get some fairly good photos of the beautiful falcon--America's smallest.

Tolerable Temps
