No Wind

This & next 3:  views from LDR-A arroyo
Doppler Dave, meteorologist at KVIA, El Paso, said the strong winds we experienced all day yesterday would continue into this morning.  Fortunately not.  Dr. K, Willow, Frio and I were able to do our entire hike unmolested by cold gusts.

We did our usual route.  While we were heading down the middle branch arroyo and starting our ascent of the right branch we spotted the Basset people and their hounds trekking along a ridge to the east of us.  We first heard one of the dogs bark, and both of our Heelers saw the Bassets on the ridge.  All canines involved were very well behaved, however.

This & next:  I suspected it was an American Kestrel
