Hubbard Museum of the American Horse

Fran and Tim at Inn of the Mountain Gods
We drove over to the Inn of the Mountain Gods in Mescalero today to have lunch at Wendell's.  Then we drove to Ruidoso Downs to get a look at the bronze statues of horses in front of the Hubbard Museum of the American Horse, now a Smithsonian affiliate institute.  We wanted to see the exhibit called "Free Spirits at Noisy Water," and we were not disappointed by the magnificent portrayal of the American horse.
