It's All Relative

In the western foothills

When Becca and I left the house this morning the humidity was 69%.  That's pretty high for the Chihuahuan Desert, but nothing compared to the high humidity I've experienced in the East, Midwest and South.  Also, it's about as verdant here in the desert as it ever gets, but I'm sure it looks pretty dun to those residents of areas where rain is abundant.  Some of the Devil's Heads we came across this morning were engorged with rainwater, making a few resemble Barrel Cactus, a much larger species.

 

If you need a shade break at least get into the shade
