Really Short Trek

This and the next two:  Strawberry Pitaya Cactus
I cut the hike way short this morning because Becca felt sick.  She threw up several times during the night, and seemed to be having some kind of allergic response when we got up.  I gave her a 25 mg caplet of Benadryl, which helped a bit.  But later, when she started rubbing her paws alongside her snoot as if something was really bugging her, we took her to the emergency animal clinic.  A vet checked her over before giving her a 50 mg shot of Diphenhydramine, which is, essentially, Benadryl.  We're keeping a very watchful eye on our favorite hiking companion now.  She's been sleeping quite a bit, which is good.

Becca seems to be a little better now. Hopefully she's on the mend.
