Warm and Windy

Far west of Tortugas Mountain
None of the local meteorologists said anything about high winds, but it's been very gusty all day so far.  It was that way this morning when Becca and I headed out for a long trek around Tortugas Mountain.  Also, it was quite warm--bordering on hot--all too reminiscent of summer, which is not my favorite season in the Chihuahuan Desert.
Obviously not a viable egg

Headed down the dirt road, but not that far

In the high hills west of the mountains

Tangle of Buggy Whips

Spiritual Prickly Pear pad

Long way to the southern Organ Mountains

Chihuahuan Flax

Desert Marigold

Organ Mountains, New Mexico

Strawberry Pitaya Cacti are blooming all over the mountain
