Propagation

Southeast side of Las Cruces, New Mexico
I said on an earlier post this spring that I'd never seen so many Rain Lilies out in the desert west of Tortugas Mountain.  Now almost all of them seem to be jettisoning their seeds at the same time.  A few days ago I took one of the seed pods that had just burst open and brought the seeds home to scatter about our property.  I have no idea if they'll propagate, but I hope they do because they're among the most beautiful seasonal flowers in the northern Chihuahuan Desert.
Happy to get an early start

The photo called "Peace" would make a nice holiday card.
